SVP, Global Marketing

OVERVIEW

This is an exciting opportunity to join Captify, the Global Leader in Search Intelligence and one of the fastest growing ad tech companies in the industry. Marketing is at the heart of Captify and boasts a marketing approach that goes against the typical ad tech grain – we never want to be another boring ad tech brand!  As an integral member of Captify’s executive management team, you will lead our global cross functional marketing efforts, both core strategic marketing messaging and positioning. You will have a proven record of building strategies to drive top line margin growth.

Leading a team or marketeers and designers, you will be passionate about growing teams and people to drive excellence across branding and positioning, communications and PR, content, account-based marketing, events and product marketing. The marketing team is in ‘building mode’ and so this role will require the ability to think strategically and willingness to roll up your sleeves. It’s an exciting year for the business as we launch a range of new products and as such evolve the brand and the role of the marketing team in driving business growth.


ABOUT YOU

To excel in this role you must be a strategic, commercial marketing leader who loves to grow businesses via marketing and have an excellent understanding of how to scale the entire marketing function, including effectively managing a P&L. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in all facets of marketing -  branding, comms, content, account-based marketing, events and product marketing. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but should have had hands on experience in these areas and support each lane.  Having senior level brand or agency contacts is a real plus.

You must be a smart creative type who has the analytical rigor to understand and optimize each stage of the funnel while continuing to develop our brand identity. You will need to guide in-house design on the look and feel of all marketing activity. In addition, you must be an inspirational leader who can grow and maximise the output of an ambitious and talented team. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you’ll be doing: 

  • You will be in charge of leading the marketing vision, strategies and teams necessary to accomplish our goals.
  • Lead a team to develop and execute marketing and communications strategy for products and services with clearly defined value propositions.
  • In partnership with our CRO and country presidents, support local marketers to deliver effective marketing programs that plug into the global plan 
  • Develop a range of marketing programs across all audiences including brands, media agencies, publishers and tech partners across the entire marketing cycle from prospecting new clients to retaining our major accounts 
  • Own growth strategies, communications, content and shaping the vision for the overall brand as well as budgeting, reporting and hiring/development of our marketing talent and setting them up operationally for scale. 
  • Audience first – act as internal champion for Captify’s clients and build a range of strategies to engage with different audience groups around the world 
  • Working with the CEO and leading Marketing on the brand identity, positioning and messaging 
  • Build and drive the vision of the product for both external and internal audiences/stakeholders, ensuring continued success worldwide.
  • Identify new business opportunities through monitoring of the industry, research and client feedback
  • Own the Captify Employee brand and a range of exciting new initiatives that can be amplified externally
  • Build out a cut-through, on point, detailed communications strategy 
  • Create a plan of action to showcase client success stories to the market – for example: industry award submissions, case studies, joint partnerships 
  • Support the launch and lift off of new Captify geographies around the world 
  • Ensure Captify’s Data and Search Intelligence takes center stage in all of our marketing – taking an insights and evidence first approach

 

REQUIREMENTS:

What you need to be successful:

  • A seasoned marketing leader with experience in a senior role, ideally in an ad tech, mar tech, media agency or publisher brand - with Saas based experience a plus
  • Must have experience in coaching and managing marketing talent to be their best 
  • Must have experience in managing C-level stakeholders 
  • Be a convincing and respected leader who can mobilize teams outside of marketing, from juniors to senior management and across other departments 
  • Has a desire to do things differently and push the boundaries, not afraid to be bold and daring and take some risks 
  • Passionate about building a diverse, purpose-led brand that can influence industry change on wider topics and issues, outside of advertising 
  • Strong commercial awareness and deep knowledge of how marketing supports sales 
  • Desire to do marketing differently, building and maintaining a brand that stands out
  • Strong communication and proven effective decision-making skills 
  • Great at planning and obsessive with detail and analytics
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and other MS Office programs 
  • Proficiency in marketing platforms like Hubspot and Wordpress
