Captify achieves this by uniquely being able to explore dimensions including intent signals, consumer interests, product perception, inner life moments, and direct and indirect influences. At the heart of this is Captify’s unique Semantic Technology, powering insights and media on every channel and on every device. 

The candidate will be working within the New York City office (initially remote due to COVID-19) and will heavily collaborate across commercial and technical teams. They will be responsible for helping to lead the function in the delivery of high-quality insights and data visualizations, and in providing support across global efforts as needed.  They will work closely with the Sales and Client Strategy teams across some of our largest agency partnerships, focusing on developing the analytical approaches needed to deliver actionable recommendations to clients.



This is a deeply analytical position and therefore requires an individual with technical ability. Understanding a client’s business challenges and how to approach them using a wide range of data analysis techniques is a given. The role will center on utilizing extensive data assets that are at the core of Captify, analyzing search behavioral insights alongside ad performance data.  While a portion of this is automated, there is a significant opportunity to conduct exploratory analysis, develop and test hypotheses, and continually innovate.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely and consultatively with commercial teams to define and manage analytic scope
  • Effectively managing the workload of insights projects across teams in accordance with SLAs
  • Maintaining a consistently high level of quality across projects, including analysis, commentary, and visualization
  • Discovering and presenting actionable insights to technical and non-technical audiences in a thoughtful and engaging manner
  • Critically appraising the effectiveness of data in commercial win rates/upweights and account growth
  • Working with global teams to define future platform insight automations and to pinpoint opportunities for increased efficiency 
  • Participating in the planning and design of new reporting and analytic products for internal and external use
  • Helping to build a dynamic and thriving global insight community 



What you need to be successful:

  • 3+ years of data analytics experience within digital/programmatic advertising (i.e., ad agency, digital media owner, client, ad-tech environments)
  • Excellent communication skills, strong proven experience translating data into clear and actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven commercial experience with statistical analysis 
  • Advanced SQL
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Datorama)
  • Passion and curiosity in the data and technology space, continually innovating and asking questions

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Strong experience with Python or R
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques including clustering, regression, attribution modeling, and significance testing
