OVERVIEW

The Technical Solutions Manager role offers the opportunity to define best practices, develop expertise in multiple technical fields and collaborate with our Commercial, Trading, Product and Business Operations teams. Based in Captify London HQ, you will be leading a team based across multiple markets providing technical support to ensure digital campaigns are launched smoothly and supporting client escalations that prevent this. You will be expected to have strong proven technical aptitude, with a solid understanding of technology that drives the programmatic ecosystem, ensuring the successful support of strategic campaigns to help translate media objectives to technical solutions. 

In addition, as we launch our Sense platform you will be working to extend the current team's remit to provide first line technical support to internal and external customers of the platform in combination with establishing a help desk service. You will as a result have the opportunity to work closely on supporting one of our most significant product roll outs as we onboard new clients from trial to full adoption. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a team, ensuring that SLA’s are met working closely with Trading, Creative Studio and Client Strategy teams
  • Build and maintain strong positive relationships with internal and external teams as well as 3rd party vendors, alongside key client contacts, as Captify’s ad ops technical expert. 
  • Act as a coach/mentor for the wider team in complex creative and technical troubleshooting across a suite of technology partners within Captify campaigns
  • Supporting both managed service campaigns and our clients who are running our programmatic PSI offering directly. 
  • Coordinate closely with the Creative Studio Team on new custom format development, to ensure smooth delivery and execution through defined processes and best practice documentation
  • Scheduling support required from a dedicated outsourcing pod and helping to manage the SLAs agreed
  • Ongoing review of discrepancy management across all markets, working with the teams to implement best practices to limit the risk of revenue loss across campaigns
  • Work with new and existing clients during the campaign planning phase to translate their media objectives into technical solutions
  • Working with commercial teams with prospective clients to make technical recommendations where custom solutions are required. 
  • Collaborate with Business Operations teams to define and refine best practice and process for technical implementation
  • Work with Product teams to gather requirements and determine feasibility of technical partnerships and product development in an evolving programmatic landscape
  • Researching and supporting recommendations around onboarding new tech vendors, and managing these on-going relationships
  • Ensure that you and your team are continually up to date with industry standards across ad technology (ad serving/brand safety/viewability). Providing regular updates to internal teams.

 REQUIREMENTS:

What you need to be successful:

  • 3+ years of experience with digital advertising from a technical perspective
  • Proven experience managing technical operations teams
  • Mentor and coach the development of team members
  • Strong interpersonal skills - operating with an open door attitude
  • Experience in investigation, following documentation and resolution of technical issues
  • Experience with all types of creatives including 3rd party ad-servers and high impact formats
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex product and tech language to commercial teams and clients
  • Solid technical understanding and experience of DSPs, adserver and the wider programmatic landscape
  • Working knowledge of web advertising concepts and campaign management technology
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited input once objectives have been set

Desirable:

  • Existing relationships with 3rd parties such as Ad verification partners
  • Past experience working with DMP platforms and 1st party onboarding partners
  • Exposure and working knowledge of  web analytics platforms 
  • Exposure to supply side inc SSP 
  • Ability to read and amend HTML code
  • Experience of using JIRA for ticketing
